Historical
After 30 years of making things, it is difficult to differentiate my “best” work from my “favorite” work, so I have put these 2 old reels of work here, the first from my Agency Producer days (1988-1995) and the second from the following period (1996-2010ish).
The success of The ShangHi-Los EP has the ears of their industry - and the anticipation for their first full length album is building! Here is the first single from that album, with video concepted, shot & edited by HM. A truly enjoyable experience!
ROBIN LANE “All I’ll Ever Need” ©2022 RedOnRed Records. An absolute pleasure to make this video for one of my musical heroes of my youth. Geoffrey Himes of The Washington Post says, “Though Blondie's Deborah Harry and the Pretenders' Chrissie Hynde have had more hits and better press, Robin Lane looms large as the most talented female artist to come out of New Wave Rock.” I can confirm it’s all true.

The Best Industrial Ever.
I got to shadow the directing duo Benson & Moorhead as they make a thirty second commercial for Olympus cameras. Here is the result.

SHANG HI LOS!
First pandemic videos, working with self-shot video, some skills and a dream
Here’s a couple favorites from 2021
I got a call from Blue Man Group in 2008, they had hours of concert footage they wanted edited down in sync, and I ended up conceiving and directing (and editing!) their “diner video” for their remake of the Donna Summer song “I Feel Love.”
The other video here is Orangutang’s “Bigger Chunk” which is similar in that I shot a lot of their shows and the label wanted a “performance video.”
This is from 1994(?), edited by the great Larry Andersen.
Both videos remain the most watched and popular on my YouTube channel.
The above are stills from various projects that are easier to explain with images than whole video, and all are special in their own way.
